Now that you know the main reasons that can compromise the speed of the device, we will show you some tips to help you solve the problem. See below!
1- Remove All Apps You Don’t Use
Our first tip to avoid a phone crashing is to delete all the apps you no longer use. In fact, to decide whether or not to delete an app, consider the number of times you have used it in the last 30 days. Most systems even have this suggestion ready for you, recommending that you delete apps that have not been used for a long time.
If you haven’t used it at all during this period, it’s worth removing it from your phone’s memory. When you want to use it again, go to the app store and download it.
2- Manage Your Slow Cell Phone Storage
For example, if your cell phone has eight gigs (8gb) of internal memory, that doesn’t mean you should use it all! Leaving your smartphone with little or no available space will affect its performance. This is because every cell phone needs available storage space to function well. Therefore, delete photos, videos, music, and other files you deem “unnecessary.” A good tip is to make a backup (a backup of your data from a storage device) of your files in the cloud (online storage service).
On Android phones (Motorola, Xiaomi, Samsung, etc.), it is possible to use the Free Space function from Google Photos, which identifies photos and videos saved in the Google Drive cloud and removes them all from the smartphone.
On iPhones such asiPhone SE 2020, you can go to Settings, Photos, and click on the iCloud Photos option, so the files are automatically uploaded to the cloud on your cell phone.
3- Is the cell Phone Crashing? It could Be Whatsapp’s Fault!
WhatsApp is one of the apps that take up the most memory on your phone, not because it is a “heavy” app from the factory but because of the files sent through it.
If you’re not careful, WhatsApp will store all the photos, videos, audio, and other files that your friends and family send you daily. So, the tip is: Archive meaningful conversations and delete all others that don’t need to be saved, as well as groups that no longer have activity.
Also, go to Settings, Storage, and Manage Storage and delete all received items. But before that, check for essential photos and videos and save them to your phone’s gallery or cloud along with your other backup files.
